The best Chapstick, my fav salad, and the Radiothon!
Another week done… now that I have promised to show up here every Sunday morning, I am realizing just how fast these weeks are flying by! I am not complaining though, another week down means we are just that much closer to Spring/Summer. I don’t know about you but I am READY for the longer days, warm weather, and most importantly the sun. It is crazy how much of a difference the sun being up longer helps with my mood, anyone else?
What I’m loving
Speaking of winter, this past winter I experience the worst chapped lips of my entire life. To the point that I would be in a panic if I left the house without my lip chap. If you’ve been around for a while you may know that I have skin issues that stem from food allergies. If you don’t know what I’m talking about I suggest you read this post, it will give you some insight. Anyways, they come and go and are mostly related to stress and my cortisol levels. When I was pregnant with Halo I had a bad flare up and so I had to go off dairy and gluten. Like always after a few months of eating dairy and gluten free my skin cleared and I was able to return to my regular diet. However, this time, even after my skin returned to normal, my lips never did. They were chronically chapped. Like the worst I’ve ever had… it was terrible. I happened to be at a wedding and my friend Danielle told me to try Flexitol that it was the best. Well, she wasn’t wrong. It IS the best. It is literally the only thing that worked and the only lip chap I will use. So, if you’re suffering from chapped lips give this a try I swear by it!
What I Cooked
I’ve made this salad easily 30 times and do you think you think I have a single photo of it? Nope! You’ll just have to use your imagination and trust me on this one. It is one of my all time favourite salads and it’s made with kale… I know what you’re thinking, I’m not a big kale girly either but trust me it’s delicious!
What I Wore
This weeks outfits very much reflected what I had going on: I was single parenting for the early part of it (thankfully my mom came to help!!) with a sick toddler and a teething baby so comfort was key! Filters were also key this week, haha and I only saved photos from my IG with filters on them, sorry they aren’t the greatest photos but the style inspo is still there.
The graphic tee and moto jacket are coming sooo soon to Shop Teach! If you don’t want to miss out on this drop, I suggest signing up to be a VIP member! You will get early access to shop! Sign up to be a VIP member here.
This tee is an old one from the brand Daydreamer! They are a bit of an investment but I will say they have the cutest graphics and the fit is always 10/10. They give that perfect oversized boyfriend vibe. Every single time I wear this tee I get questions about it! As for the jeans, I am wearing a size 27 which is my regular size right now. If you decide to order these sneakers make sure you size down. I am typically a 7.5 or even an 8 in sneakers and I got a 6!
Again, this moto is coming soon to Shop Teach… it is seriously so good! I fall in love with it more and more every time I wear it! The cargo sweats are also Shop Teach, we have limited sizes left but I will link them here if you’re wanting to check them out! I am wearing a size small in the Dove Grey.
What I did:
Well, survived mostly… lol, but seriously, when Lee is gone I really realize just how lucky I am to have a partner who contributes so much. I don’t know what I would do without him. Friday was the Z99 Radiothon and so we took the kids down to the mall to make our donation. A lot of the nurses volunteer at the radiothon and it was pretty special to take the kids back so the nurses who took care of them could see them growing and thriving. Every year I get so emotional on the day of the radiothon, I am overcome with gratitude for everything the NICU has done for us . No one wants to be in the NICU but it truly is a special place.
Have a great week, besties!
