Last weekend my friend Dawna and I decided to head to Missoula, Montana to visit our other friend, Kelly! It is a long drive so we decided to take advantage of the long weekend and make the long trek…11 hours to be exact. Fun fact: it actually takes longer and is more expensive to fly from Regina to Missoula than it is to drive, strange right?!

Happy first day of spring, guys! According to the calendar we have made it through the long, dreaded winter, although I have to say this was one of the nicest I can recall. With spring comes warm temperature and more time outdoors! One of my things is taking my little bear, Sunny for walks! He is so full of energy so when we mention going for a walk his ears instantly perk up and he is ready to go! We have been puppysitting this adorable little girl, Lilly, isn’t she a doll?! I want another puppy in the worst way but B says no… so having Lilly for a few weeks is super fun for me!
Today I slept in… my alarm went off at 6:45 as it does every week day morning, and like every morning I hit snooze 3 times, except today, on the third time I turned it OFF…dun, dun, DUN!! So you can imagine the panic when B sat up and said “Holy s*it babe.. it 7:53!! (Typically I leave my house around 8:00 – 8:05 ish)
Ever since watching Amanda Stanton on this past season of The Bachelor I have been obsessed with finding an off the shoulder, boho (ish) blouse. Lucky for me they have been popping up everywhere… this is one trend that needed no convincing on my part, I’m ALL in! I found this particular blouse the other weekend and it just happened to be on sale… yassss! I love the lace detail on the sleeves, and the fact that it’s not strapless makes it a little more comfortable. I will admit I did struggle with what bra to wear. The first night I wore it out with a black leather mini and then a black lace bralette and it worked. However, for this look I didn’t want any black so I went with this adhesive bra and it actually worked amazing… thank goodness I have next to nothing in that department!
If you’re like I use to be, cleaning your make-up brushes is one of those things that is always on your lists of things to do but rarely gets done. If you have a large collection like myself it takes a good chunk of time and if you wear make-up pretty much every day like I do, when is the perfect time to do it!? Well I don’t have the answer to the last question, I do have some reasons as to why you should make it a priority moving forward as well as some gadgets that will make the process a lot quicker and much more enjoyable.
My hair often seems to be topic of conversation in many of the comments on my Instagram photos. I am so flattered and think it is just the sweetest, but I’m also shocked because I am often that girl who is complaining about her hair… too flat, too staticky, too frizzy, too short, and the list goes on. However, when my hair is cooperating I must say, I do love it and that is all thanks to the beautiful and talented, Jillian Ripplinger from Salon 306. The girl is a balayage (ombre) genius, which I’m sure you have noticed.
Adult coloring seems to be everywhere I turn these days. I see it on Instagram, Snapchat, at the local grocery store, at the over priced stationary store, even the dollar store but is it really a trend? Apparently, some psychologists have been prescribing it to their patients for years, who knew?!… it turns out the benefits are more than just reliving your childhood.
I have a problem purging things. Perhaps it’s teacher voice in me always whispering “Keep it! You could use that for math counters, or a Mother’s Day craft, or Valentine’s Day, or a sorting activity!” Let’s be clear, I’m not a hoarder but boarder line am… most teachers out there are, especially primary teachers. Most times this is annoying (ask B) as I have stuff everywhere, but… a few weeks ago I was going through my clothes and found these trousers from 8 years ago!!!! Honestly, I cannot believe I didn’t throw them out but I am SO happy I didn’t because I have seen them popping up here and there over the last little bit. Like I mentioned these are about 8 years old so they are no longer available but I will be sure to link so similar ones down below!
