At our welcome back staff meeting in September, our admin handed us a copy of The reading Strategies Book by Jennifer Serravallo. I’m not going to lie as they handed it out I couldn’t help but think “oh great, another resource I’m supposed to read and implement into my teaching, when am I going to have time for this?” Bad attitude, I know.
The weather this weekend has been absolutely gorgeous! Turns out if you complain enough, mother nature listens. With this warm weather I finally had the chance to get some wear out of this super cute black and white buffalo check coat. Although this coat is pretty heavy it doesn’t have a zipper so it is not suitable for the cold weather we have been having. But when the sun decided to shine, I was all smiles running my errands in it!
You guys. It is freaking freezinggggggg. This morning when I opened my weather app it said feels like -47 celsius which is about -52 Fahrenheit which really just means another indoor recess for the kids… ugh. Okay, I’m done complaining for now but if mother nature doesn’t turn this around real quick, it’s not going to pretty in my house… these indoor recesses are making me go insane!
I’m Canadian so I’m no rookie when it comes to staying cozy while still managing to look cute. It’s all about layers and investing in key pieces you’ll wear year after year.
I’ve been on the hunt for a new pair of OTK (over the knee) boots for what feels like an eternity!! The last pair I bought were these Stuart Weitzman beauties, which I still love, but are slowly starting to show signs of retirement, whaaaaaaaa 🙁 !
To say I like dainty jewelry would be an understatement. I LOVE dainty gold pieces – a subtle hint of beauty that can be added to any outfit to finish it off. Whether it’s a basic grey t and distressed denim or a black dress, you simply cannot go wrong with dainty accessories.
Happy New Year, Friends!!! Holy guacamole!! Another year has come and gone and without sounding like a record on repeat, (I say this every year) but this year has seriously FLOWN by. It is scary to think how fast time passes, it honestly feels like I just wrote my best of 2015 post.
Well, I’m sorry this NYE outfit inspo post is coming to you a little later than I would like. Time has totally slipped away on me and I’m not mad about it! I decided to book a last minute flight to Edmonton to spend some time with my sister. We have been shopping, eating out, drinking coffee and wine, and binge watching 80’s movies… jealous? You should be!
The excitement of Christmas is over and some of you may be heading on a hot holiday because let’s face it, that’s pretty much the only way to deal with Canadian winter.
