#SIGMAPINK To Make The Boys Wink
Casual Wear
Taking Sunny for a walk is one of my favorite things. He literally smiles the entire time waging his tail as he trots to the park- so friggin’ cute! This outfit is perfect for accompanying the little man on his walk… he gets lots of attention from park goers so I feel I need to look somewhat presentable. This outfit is very casual, laid-back, I didn’t try to hard, I’m comfortable but still look put together… does that make sense?!
Christmas In October
Yes! You read that correct… Christmas in October is something I am SO excited to share with you. I love the holiday season… the lights, decorations, holiday parities, rum and eggnog, and of course finding the most perfect gifts for everyone on your list!
Over the last few months I have been spending more time in the most adorable little city, Moose Jaw. If you have ever been, you know what I mean. The downtown is so unique, picturesque, and charming. Filled with the most beautiful heritage buildings, coffee shops, and boutiques! The fact that it is only 45 minutes away makes it perfect for a little weekend getaway.
The Perfect Fall Coat
As the fall season progresses, the days of running outside without a coat are coming to an end. Although it’s much too soon to pull out those winter parkas, it’s the perfect time to grab your favorite fall coat from the back of the closet. This coat from BB Dakota is my absolute favorite for fall. It looks a lot warmer than it really is so the season for it here on the frigid prairies isn’t as long as I would like. For those who live where the temperatures are more mild, this could be worn throughout the winter as well- lucky!
Thank You!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian followers! I hope you all had a fabulous day filled with family, love, turkey, pumpkin pie, and of course, stuffing!!!
How To Have The Best Experience With A Makeup Artist
I have had some pretty questionable experiences with makeup artists in my day and I take full responsibility for that. This past weekend I was in my girlfriend, Caitlin’s wedding. It was absolutely beautiful- she is the most organized human I have ever met and it sure paid off. Her wedding was stunning, went off without a hitch, and was done on a budget… is there anything more?! In the weeks leading to the wedding I texted Caitlin asking her if I could do my own makeup simply because I have had not so great experiences in the past and I am quite confident doing my own make-up. Caitlin, kindly replied that she would prefer if I got it done as it was a part of the whole experience and that she had already got a quote for all of us. I agreed but decided I would do everything in my power to make this experience the best it could be…
Fall Staple: Leather Leggings
It’s hard to name just one fall staple but when I think about what I reach for most often it is hands down my Daria leather leggings from Aritzia. I bought these babies over two years ago and have worn them easily 100 times. They are comfortable and seriously go with everything. Perfect for a night out on the town or even running errands on the weekend leaving you feeling comfortable but still put together. If you have a relaxed dress code you may even be able to wear them to work- I do quite often!
Eliasz and Ella
I was first introduced to this Canadian jewelry line at a photo shoot I did this past summer. When I was approached about modeling for the photo shoot I was hesitant. Although I do photos daily for more blog I don’t see myself as a model. In the end, I decided to do the shoot. The focus was recognizing Canadian designers and when I saw the stuff I would be wearing and the photographer I was going to be working with I decided to go for it. I figured it was an opportunity I shouldn’t let pass me by. More about that experience in the near future!
What I Wore: Teacher Edition Pt. 2
I am starting to get more and more requests to share what I wear to work each day. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I don’t specifically shop for school clothes, instead I take my everyday wardrobe and make it work appropriate. This dress is a perfect example to show you how I take one of my favorite dresses to wear out and make it work for teaching.
Mexican Quinoa
It has been forever since my last recipe post!!! It’s not that I haven’t been cooking or eating… oh my, have I been eating! Anyways, I’m being particular about the recipes I share. For me they need to fall in at least one of the two categories:
1.) Delicious… like friggin’ good
2.) Easy
This fit beautifully into both!
