The moment I realized scrunchies were back in style I was PUMPED. As a little girl I adored scrunchies, but then again, who didn’t?! At the time I loved the colors and the fact that it didn’t hurt my head when my mom took them out. Fast forward twenty some years and I love them just as much as I did back then and for pretty similar reasons. The colors are awesome, they still don’t hurt my head, and they’re better for my hair!
Holy moly, what a friggin’ week. My apologies, I’m a day late with this post. If you haven’t caught on by now I try to post every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. I really have no rhyme or reason for the days I post besides Teacher Talk Tuesday. Thursday and Sunday just feel right and are nicely spaced out.

Calling all YQR locals!! What Women Want, is back for it’s 9th annual event on March 17- 19th. I’m SO excited to be going for the first time… I actually cannot believe I’ve never been before!! Shopping, cosmetics, fitness, and entertainment… it has me written all over it!
March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ birthday and obviously if you’re in grade one (or any grade for that matter) it’s a pretty fantastic thing to celebrate. So, like any decent b-day celebration it’s been lasting all week. Spirit days, special snacks, reading bingo, you name it, it’s been happening!
Last week we were in Mexico and it was everything I needed. We relaxed (sorry for the lack in my posts), ate lots, had a few cocktails, explored, and witnessed two amazing people get hitched! I could sit here and write everything we did but instead you should probably just watch the vlog we made, it’s much more interesting!
I’m sure most of you have gathered from my social media, or previous blog post, that I am in Mexico! I have been totally relaxing (hence the inconsistency in posting on here) drinking mimosa’s for breakfast, loading on the sunscreen, bathing in aloe vera gel, and living in bikinis!
A few weekends ago I went to my friend Michelle’s bachelorette party in Banff. The entire weekend was a freaking blast!!! You know when you go to a bachelorette party and the only person you know is the bride and sometimes it’s weird? This was NOTHING like that. Every girl was SO nice and SO sweet to me!!! For example, I originally decided I was going to pass on dog sledding. I clearly wasn’t thinking straight when I decided this… anyway, in the end I took the spot of one of the girls who was pregnant and wasn’t excited about going (I don’t blame her). Because I hadn’t originally planned on going I had nothing. Within 3 minutes I was fully dressed in clothes that were not mine… they literally gave me the clothes off their back, so sweet!!
I’m not going to lie, typically B and I are homebodies and prefer to stay in and cook, especially on Valentine’s Day when restaurants are crazy busy. But, for those of you who love going out and prefer to leave the cooking (and the clean up) to the pro’s I thought I would share a little V Day date night inspo!
