Workhall Dress

If you follow me on Snapchat (holly_horvath) you would know Brandon and I were in Edmonton a few weekends ago spending time with the fam jam!  My sister lives there so any chance I get I head up for a few days.  It’s a guaranteed good time filled with shopping, delicious food, wine, 80’s movies, and laughs!IMG_1042

We almost always hit up Whyte Avenue.  It’s perfect to stroll up and down popping in and out of the boutiques with a coffee in hand.  Although we often go to Whyte, this was my first visit to Workhall.  The unique boutique focusses on artistry over commercialism, creates small production runs, is process driven, and empowers independent designers- it’s impossible not to fall in love with this company.IMG_1012

IMG_1040From greeting me and offering a bottle of water, to letting me know they could alter any garment on site to fit me, (even if they didn’t have my size available) their customer service aligns with their core values of artistry over commercialism.

Of course I couldn’t leave empty handed.  I found a couple of treats, this striped t shirt dress included! Styled as a dress or top I am totally in love with the shape and jersey material. Another staple dress for my summer wardrobe!

I love the casual look and feel of this dress so it only felt natural to pair it with sneakers and a plaid around my waste!
