Something’s Gotta Give
I don’t normally buy into the whole giveaway thing. Too hard, too many steps, and just takes too much time. However, this giveaway from Style for the Privlege caught my eye for two reasons: first being how easy it is to enter, simply follow them on instagram– so easy. Second reason being their stuff is uber nice.
3 Ingredient Rice Krispie Treats
Okay, this recipe legit has three ingredients and is SO friggin’ yummy. A colleague of mine brought it to our year end staff party and I couldn’t get over how amazing it was. When I asked her for the recipe she giggled and told me the three ingredients, Rice Krispies, butter, and Mars bars. I was totally shocked and then super pumped about how easy it was… I instantly stored it in the never forget this ever section of my brain.

Flashback Friday: Paris Edition
If you follow me on instagram, you may remember a few weeks ago I mention I was going to start a little mini-series where I share some of our experiences and memories from our Europe trip last summer. Now, I must pre warn you… my outfits are not the greatest as we were backpacking… my options were limited! We left July 2nd and returned on the 30th. I was so overwhelmed during the packing process and didn’t do the greatest job. If, and when we do it all over again my packing strategy will be a lot different.
Follow along for travel and packing tips!
First stop: Paris! Eeeek, even saying the name gets me excited! Although our time there was limited, I totally fell in love with this city… I’m already dreaming of the day I will return. The weather is not always the best but it doesn’t matter, you’re in Paris and life is just perfect… trust me!
The Chloe Trench
This Chloe trench from the Style for Privilege capsule collection is truly stunning; a classic style with a modern twist. I received it in the mail just last week and have already worn it three times… to a BBQ, out for dinner, and on a shopping date. It’s lightweight material and neutral color make it an easy layering piece. With its’ airy polyester fabric and neutral tones, (also available in black) it drapes so beautifully and lends itself to all seasons… well, winter might be a little tough considering the temperatures here often dip to -30! However, if you’re lucky enough to live in a place where you experience much milder winters this could be easily layered with a sweater, scarf and some cute booties.

Wedding Season
Summers in Saskatchewan are absolutely gorgeous and because of the beautiful weather everyone and their dog decides to get married in July & August! I love it- weddings are always so fun and just a lovely way to spend a weekend. With that being said, it also means you need several dresses to get you through what many around here refer to it as “wedding season”. I scored this adorable (floral-yes, the obsession continues) dress from Winners a few weeks ago for $29, gotta love Winners! The cut out in the front and the back gives this girly dress a little edge. The grey built in slip will also prevent you from showing any non ‘mentionables’ cutting a rug on the dance floor!
The Shoe Game
For as long as I can remember shoes have always been my thing. There is nothing like a good pair of shoes to add the finishing touch on a great outfit. Heels, sandals, boots, sneakers… I love them all, except flats- maybe I just haven’t found the right pair, but I just can’t get my groove on with them. Also they hurt my feet so that sucks!
Summer vacation means I basically live in casual clothes like this T-shirt, borrowed from Brandon’s closet, and these One Teaspoon jean shorts you’ve seen many times in previous posts and instagram photos.

July Must-Haves
JULY!! Probably one of my favorite months for several reasons: summer vacation… I’m not going to lie two months off is pretty sweet, well-deserved if you ask me, but pretty friggin’ sweet. The weather is gorgeous, I have copious amounts of time to hang out with my friends, lay in the sun, go to the beach, bake, cook, blog, and really just do whatever I feel like!
