Beach Wave Tutorial
Most days my hair does its’ own thing and I am just along for the ride. However, there are times, they are few and far between, that my hair actually turns out. Some of you happened to notice my good hair days and asked if I would do a tutorial on how I get those “perfect waves”. Well, here it is folks, my first ever tutorial…
I hope you like it!

great tips!!! I never considered going over the curls w a flat iron to get the curly sue look removed! I always thought it would go flat… And I actually never put any products, so I guess that would help, definitely going to try that!

Thanks, Yami! I am glad I could help. I have had some feedback regarding more info on the products I use so I am going to update the post to include the names of the products and where to buy them.
And yes, the necklace is seriously the best… thanks again!
Yami
Oh!!! And loving the necklace!! Looks so perfect!

Wow, Holly! Congrats on your first video tutorial. You were awesome, such a pro. This video got me to look at achieving a different style of waves in a new way. It’s so easy for the curls to look too tight or for the waves to look too tangly. You continuously show that perfect balance in all your pics, so it was awesome of you to share your tips and tricks! I’ve been looking for a way to get my waves to look fuller-bodied but also stretched out while maintaining more of a curl at the ends (like Xtina in 2002 or LDR in the “Ride” video, ya know? Haha). I’m looking forward to trying this method out with the flat iron as the finishing touch, but keeping the ends a bit more curled! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Jesilou and sorry for the late reply! Yes, I struggled for so long to figure out how to get rid of the curly Sue/prom hair look. The straightening method has seemed to work for me- just make sure to go over it quickly and don’t squeeze to tight! My straighter is getting a little old and it’s not as hot anymore so it works great. If you prefer the ends a little more curled don’t squeeze tight like I do. I hope it works out for you! Make sure you tag me in a photo so I can see 🙂

Haha! You make me laugh… your comments are so cute! First, thank you!! I was super nervous to post it but I have had good feedback so I have some ideas for the future… let me know if you would like to see anything in particular and I will see what I can do. The camera I use is a Canon t5i and the program is Final Cut Pro. My boyfriend is very talented and does photos and videos professional. If you liked the tutorial you should check out the video he made on our trip to Honolulu… it is so good! It’s under the travel page, scroll down to the bottom and you will find it. Thanks again, xoxo!
