Accessorizing with Hillberg & Berk

Hillberg & Berk was founded in 2007 by Rachel Mielke a local Regina designer. Not even 10 years later and the brand has exploded with clients such as Celine Dion, Michelle Obama, Carrie Underwood, Barbara Walters and has even made a piece for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II!! However, don’t be scared off by those celebrity names, with pieces starting at under $50 and ranging to the thousands, there truly is a piece (or five) for everyone!

Everyone loves a good LBD. I like to have at least one or two great black dresses in my closet for those “just in case” moments. You know, when your friend calls you last minute and asks you to be her date to a wedding or when your man forgets to mention you have a work function to attend, tonight… LBD to the rescue.

A black dress is kind of like a blank canvas and jewelry is the easiest/ best way to turn your outfit from a finger painting into a masterpiece! I absolutely LOVE this necklace from the Tessa Virtue Collection by Hillberg & Berk. It makes a statement but at the same time isn’t too bold and doesn’t overpower the outfit. I went with a more subtle earring and bracelet simply because the necklace is a statement piece and I didn’t want to take away from it.

Oh, and can we talk about how cute these shoes are!? I am totally obsessed… you will be seeing a lot of these, I just can’t get enough!! IMG_9535_batch
