What I Wore: Teacher Edition Pt. 2
I am starting to get more and more requests to share what I wear to work each day. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I don’t specifically shop for school clothes, instead I take my everyday wardrobe and make it work appropriate. This dress is a perfect example to show you how I take one of my favorite dresses to wear out and make it work for teaching.
Our dress code states straps must be at least two finger widths wide so this this dress is works. The length is perfect falling just below my knee in the front and a little longer in the back. However, this dress is quite tight fitting which I don’t always feel comfortable in when I am at school. I solved this problem by throwing on this GORGEOUS Free People vest I grabbed when I was in Vancouver last month. It is just so perfect for fall, I have been wearing it nonstop! I am usually very minimal when it comes to accessories but I decided to add this body chain and these gorgeous bracelets from Eliasz & Ella– more on them coming soon!
Best part about this dress? The price… $29.00! Get it here!

I got so excited when I saw this stunning vest. I love me a good, shaggy vest and you styled it so perfectly with that dress (also I can’t believe the great markdown on it right now). It’s definitely a great outfit to wear to work and I can see you rockin’ it out on the town, as well. Man, If you were my teacher and I was an elementary school student, you definitely would have inspired me to be a style blogger, too, by now! Wondering if your students ever comment on your outfits — they probably say the cutest things.

Haha awe yes the students are so funny!! They have lots of comments but even male of them just like to touch it. It’s hilarious- they love anything that has texture, suede shoes especially! Haha

You teach younger kids, right? Like sit-on-the-floor-for-storytime young? Do they touch things like suede shoes ’cause they’re within reach? Haha, so fascinated by this.
Holly
Hahah yes! First grade! So when they are on the floor my shoes are right there… haha so funny!
