My Bump Friendly Capsule Collection

Before I was pregnant I would dream about all the ways I would style my bump. I thought it would be so fun and easy… well, I don’t mean to burst your bubble but that wasn’t exactly the case for me. It may be a different story for you but for me, it wasn’t everything I dreamed of.  I found it hard to find maternity clothes I loved. Don’t get me wrong I did end up finding some maternity items that were great but they were expensive and honestly, most items I won’t wear again until the next time I am pregnant, God willing of course. So, when Zoe from Finding July approached me about putting together a Bump Friendly capsule collection, I was all in!! Some of you seem to be a bit confused about the difference between bump friendly and maternity so let me clear that up for you. Bump friendly simple means you can wear it with or WITHOUT a bump. It means these pieces do not have a shelf life of 9 months, or in my case 7… they can be worn for years to come, pregnant or not!

Becoming a mom has been the absolute best thing to ever happen to me but it has also been the most challenging experience. Being a mother has made me appreciate the women who have helped to raise me even more so. To honour those women I have named my dresses after them.

Okay, before I get into each dress I will let you know. I am 5’4″ tall. When we shot these photos I was 32 weeks pregnant and I am wearing a small. I would not size up to fit your bump, I would say stick to your true size. I have since given birth and I am still wearing the small and it fits great!!

The Marcella, named after my Grandma ♥️
My grandma Marcella was a firecracker. Her quick wit, sense of humour, tell it like it is attitude, passion for gardening, and kind soul are just a few things I admired about her. I know she is beaming down with pride as she watches me navigate motherhood.

This dress comes in three beautiful colours: sage, rust, and mustard. It has pockets,  the straps untie so you can adjust them to your liking and they make the dress breast feeding friendly! This dress is lined so you do not need to worry about it being see through.  The print and ruffle at the bottom make this dress so girly- I absolutely love it!

The Sandra named after none other than my mama. To know my mom is to love her. She embodies everything I strive to be. I am so lucky to have her as my mentor as I navigate this new role as a mother. She is kind, generous, hilarious, adventurous, thoughtful, positive, and honestly just my favourite person.

This dress comes in two colours: peach and lavender. The pattern is absolutely darling and it is fully lined just like the Marcella. I love the ruffle strap which you can wear up or off the shoulder for a fun flirty look. Without my bump this dress hits me just above the knee. Wear this dress to a wedding or style it casually with a denim jacket and some flats!

The Rose 🌹
Named after my Grandma Agnes Rose Horvath. I spent a good portion of my childhood at my Grandma Horvath’s house. She lived just across the street from my dance studio so I would go between the studio and her house everyday after school. She taught me how to cook at a young age and I’ve loved it ever since. She shaped a huge part of me and we have a special bond that I will cherish forever. ♥️

The rose has long sleeves that can be worn off the shoulder or on depending on your mood. It has an open back, tie in the front, is fully lined, and is SO flirty! A baby shower, a night on the town with the girls, or a date night, this is the dress!! Love, love, LOVE!

There ya have it, I hope you love them all as much as I do! Thank you so much for all your support! These dresses go live, Saturday July 3rd at 9AM Saskatchewan time.
