O Baby, We Love You || Sprout
This post is very near and dear to me. As I sit here and write this I am overjoyed for my friend, Dawna! If you follow Teach Me Style closely I’m sure you know who I am talking about. Her and her hunk of a hubby got married last October in Maui and are about to welcome their beautiful baby any day now. I honestly feel like this term is thrown around a little too loosely but for real they’re couple GOALS! And speaking of goals, Dawna pregnant… ugh. Let’s just say I am thanking my lucky stars that we’re not expecting at the same time. She is literally glowing, hasn’t gained a pound anywhere but her belly and is just a freaking maternity goddess.
ANYWAYS, I had the pleasure of hosting her baby shower. This is the first time I have thrown an “event” like this and so I was a little intimidated to say the least. I love entertaining and hosting but this was just a little different. I wanted it to be chill but also beautiful and most importantly I wanted the food to be delicious. If there is anything Dawna (& Taylor) care about when it comes to a party it’s the food. I had 30 people R.S.V.P and I instantly began to sweat thinking about the food portion of hosting. The shower was mid June, and for any teachers who follow me, you know what mid June is like, CHAOTIC to say the least. How was I going to pull this one off?!
Enter Sprout catering, Jssel and Haley. These two legit saved the day and made me look like I had my s&*t together. I simply told them how many people I was going to be having and I left the rest in their hands and it was honestly the best decision I have ever made!! They showed up about an hour before the event to set up and had everything out, organized and looking beautiful by the time the guests starting arriving. They brought everything they needed from the dishes right down to the mini spoons in the dips!
The food was absolutely everything I wanted it to be! Delicious, beautiful, and most importantly it wasn’t the typical cream cheese appetizer that I always resort to. If you follow my Insta stories I’m sure you saw the cream puffs with some sort of Mango goodness on top, oh my heavens… SO FREAKING GOOD!!! Yup… there were leftovers and I may or may not have ate 4 the next day #whoops
Another favourite were the baguettes topped with whipped goat cheese, strawberries, basil, sprinkled with pistachios… okay, I’m salivating just thinking about them! OH, and the cheeseball… seriously I don’t know what was in it but it was not your regular cheeseball, it was AMAZEBALLS haha, get it?!

It looks like Sprout did an incredible job with the food for your friend’s baby shower – those crostini look absolutely divine! Looking forward to seeing more details from the shower, I’m sure it was just as beautiful as the food 🙂
