Current Favourites {Nov 2018}
If you’ve been following me since the OG days, you may remember I used to do monthly favourites. I quite doing them a few years ago for a few reasons, but mainly because I would find myself struggling to find a list of things I “loved”. I put loved in quotation marks because did I really love them or was I just finding things to love for the post, you know? Well, it’s been a minute since my last favourites post and I can confidently say I have a short list of things I LOVE!
In no particular order…
1.) Aimee Kestenberg Backpack– I have had several backpacks over the past few years and I can hands down say this is by far the best one I’ve ever owned. I originally found my first Aimee Kestenberg bag (this one) at Winners and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be a favourite in my collection. It’s my go to for day to day and especially travel. Since purchasing the bag I have developed a relationship with the brand and they’ve graciously sent me a few more bags over the last few months. Oh, and how could I forget, I also purchased their medium sized luggage for my last trip to Australia and it was perfect. I love it for weekend getaways and for a second bag when I am travelling long distances for long periods of time. Not familiar with AK? I highly suggest you follow them on IG… they’re growing rapidly and for good reason. The bags are designer quality without the price tag!
2.) Airpods- These have been on my wish list for a longggggg time. I will admit, I used to make fun of people who wore them but I am eating my words now! I TOTALLY get what all the fuss is about. As someone who does A LOT of talking on the phone they have truly changed my life lol I can now multitask while chatting on the phone for hours at a time- no more hauling my phone around and catching the cord on every frickin nook and cranny you didn’t know even existed in your home. Now, the price tag is STEEP I will admit it, but like I said, if you’re someone who talks on the phone a lot it is a no brainer… nerds unite!!!!!
*If you don’t use your current earbuds often I wouldn’t suggest this purchase!
3.) Radiant Defence Perfecting Liquid– It hurts to admit this, but the older I get the more I am noticing I really have to be particular with the type of makeup (especially foundation and concealer) I am using. I’m finding it’s starting to really settle into my fine lines, especially around my eyes, and it looks cakey… ah, I cannot believe I am typing this. A swear to the heavens above it was only a year ago, maybe even 6 months ago, I could legit use pretty much anything out there… not anymore 🙁 Oh, the joys of aging! I have been on the search for a new foundation that was lightweight but with build-able coverage, for those days I decide to turn into a hormonal teenager. Yup, that’s right, one day I’m fighting wrinkles and the next it’s zits…like I CAN’T even!
Anyways, long story short I’ve been using this Radiant Defence Perfecting Liquid for the last month or so and I can say I LOVE IT. It checked off all the boxes including boxes I didn’t even know I needed. Shockingly enough, it is not technically classified as makeup, it does however feel and look like it. It offers a buildable cover with a beautifully dewy finish- without settling into my fine lines… perfection! Because this product is a little hard to explain I will copy and paste this quote directly from the website:
The powerful tinted multitasker protects and instantly perfects the skin, delivering radiant, healthy-looking complexion.
I have been wanting to feel more comfortable going out with less makeup, and I’m getting there, but I still feel like I look dead without it. This product allows me to feel good about what I’m putting on my face and gives me that no makeup, makeup look! Interested in giving it a try? Check out the color match tool, super cool and works great!!
4.) Patagonia Vest: I bought this vest last Fall and it was a splurge. I remember as I took it to the till to pay for it, I had a bit buyers remorse simply because of the price tag. I knew I loved it but was I really going to spend over $200 on a vest?! Well, I can confidently say it was WELL worth the money. I have worn that vest more times than I can count, and every single time I put it on I love it even more than the last. It’s one of those pieces I know will last in my wardrobe for years.
5.) Smash + Tess Romper(s): If you haven’t heard of the Smash + Tess rompers you must be living under a rock. This loungewear is wildly popular and for good reason. They’re adorable, frickin’ comfortable, and even stylish if fitted and styled properly. At first glance, the price tag feels like a bit of a shock, but I’m telling you it will be the most worn piece in your wardrobe. It is the first thing I change into when I get home from work and is my favourite travel outfit. They come in several different styles, they all fit a little differently so if you’re thinking of ordering I would suggest paying very close attention to their size guide or you can follow mine here:
Friday: (long sleeve, low cut v neck)
-order at LEAST one size down
Saturday: (tank style, more of a scoop neck, and fits like capri pants)
-order one size down. This one fits smaller than the Friday but I still ordered a size smaller than I normally wear
Sunday: (t-shirt style)
– I found this material to stretch out quite a bit so I would size down at least two sizes.
Romperalls:
-order one size down. This pant length is between the Friday/Sunday and the Saturday!
I hope that is helpful and not too confusing. Again, the size guide on their website is very helpful as well!
What have you been loving these days?! Leave a comment below, I would love to hear from you!

I am in love with the IT Cosmetics CC creams! I have just started to find my makeup settling into my smile lines and my eye lines plus I have very acne prone skin. I have been using it for a couple weeks now and I love how natural it feels.
