Yes, this is where you will find the mini egg cheesecake recipe you’ve all been asking for… actually, here it is. You have waited long enough! 100/10 make this. It takes almost a full 24 hours so prepare yourself for that but when I say it’s worth it, I mean it.

Okay, let’s recap the week. It was Easter weekend which means this week consisted of tonnes of overeating, leftovers and catch up from taking Friday and Monday off… yes we took both days, the perks of both being entrepreneurs. Speaking of being an entrepreneur, I’m sure you’ve heard but I am back at work!! Well, I guess I’ve technically been back at work with TMS for quite some time, but I took 6 months off from Shop Teach but I am back and it feels good(ish).  I say ish because if I am being totally transparent, it does still feel a little soon. Although Halo is 6 months and I took WAY longer than I anticipated. I still feel a little sense of guilt for having to go back to work. Of course, most of the work hours will be when she is napping or sleeping at night, but there will be times where she will have to be with Lee or our parents so I can work.  It also means my brain is going a mile a minute with what all needs to get done and that means I am not fully present with her all the time and that makes me feel like a bad mom. I KNOW how fast this time goes. I’ve seen it with Dane… one minute he’s 4 pounds swimming in preemie clothes and the next he’s yelling at me from the basement asking me to come hit bombs (home runs) with him lol.  But, such is the life I choose, that is one of being my own boss, which can be challenging but of course, also comes with perks. All that being said, I hope you love this drop as much as I do! I hope you will take some time to look and see if anything catches your eye! What I cooked /ate:

The Mini Egg cheesecake which I already shared the recipe for but if you missed it, here it is again! Other than that I really haven’t cooked a lot! My mom sent us home with a tonne of leftovers from Easter dinner (jackpot), my Inspired Go salads have been getting me through lunches, by the way if you’re on the fence about trying these, do it, they’re unreal. We made a couple pizzas using the shells they sell at the Italian Star Deli. I believe they bring in from Solo Italia in Ogema. If you haven’t tried these go to Italian Star Deli and grab some- they freeze beautifully and make the best pizza! We always have a few in the freezer for quick dinners.

What I’m loving:
Okay, this is random but the Honolulu Cookie Company now sells mini bites at Coscto… you MUST get them but prepare yourself, you will eat the entire bag in less than a week they’re that good. If you haven’t had Honolulu Cookie Company cookies, they are a Hawaiian delicacy- shortbread cookies that are to die for!

What I Bought:
On Monday I popped into Superstore for bananas and left with an entire new Spring wardrobe… I kid you not. Joe Fresh hit it out of the park this season. I’m not going to lie, I don’t always love their stuff, I find it to be very hit or miss but this season they nailed it.  Check this reel out to see how I style all the goodies I picked up. What I Wore:

*this exact sweater dress is sold out but could be recreated with any sweater dress you have in your closet. I have also linked a more casual one that I think would be really cute. As for a button down, I suggest hitting up the mens section at a thrift store- these are perfect for layering! In my opinion, it’s the details that make this outfit- the socks, bow in my hair, and the shoulder bag!

*Let’s give these Ganni dupes a moment shall we!? They are seriously perfection. The best dupe I’ve scored in a long time. To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes when I placed the order but I decided to give them a shot considering the Ganni ones are $495!!! These are $99 and worth every penny in my opinion. I am wearing a size 7, I would say they fit true to size. These are the IT shoe of the Spring stay tuned to see how I style them!

For those of you wondering if this is the Amazon dupe and wanting a review. It’s not… I placed the order and it NEVER showed up. They eventually refunded me but talk about annoying. I have linked the exact one I have here. It’s definitely on the pricey side but I have gotten my money’s worth for sure- I wear it as a set lots as I like that it is a change from my typical sweatsuit, but I also wear the cardigan with jeans and love it styled that way! I am wearing a size S.

What I made:
Lately I haven’t been good at eating lunch. I’ve been having PB&J sandwiches non stop,  so I decided to make a big batch of this Mediterranean Pasta Salad to keep in the fridge for Lee and I to grab for lunch. It was really delicious and great to make ahead! My only suggestion would be to cut the dressing recipe in half I felt like there was SO much dressing leftover.

I was craving cookies the other night so instead of going to bed at a normal hour I decided to  stay up and make my besties Butterfinger cookies… dear lord. They are unbelievable. I am warning you right now you will want to eat the ENTIRE batch.

What I Tried:

I got a PR gift from L’oreal – the new Panorama mascara. I was hesitant to try it as I am a TOK Beauty fan but your girl has a job to do, so I tried it and it’s actually very good. Like very very good. It doesn’t flake, it gives you crazy volume and it’s buildable. I will still continue to use TOK beauty for the majority of the time because it actually nourishes my lashes and helps them grow (mine have been falling out since having Halo) but I will say this stuff is really good.

As for the kids, Halo is sleeping like an absolute angel thanks to our sleep trainer (stay tuned for a blog post on that) and Dane is coming down with a bit of a cold which is extremely stressful because of his Nephrotic Syndrome. We will be monitoring closely, helping him get lost of rest, and testing to see if this will cause a relapse for him. Prayers for my little man would be so appreciated.

The Block It Out Sweater
Colour blocking is a trend I don’t see going anywhere anytime soon and I’m not mad about it. It’s a fun way for people who aren’t necessarily the most daring when it comes to their wardrobe to have some fun while also feeling comfortable. These muted colours are perfect for fall but also lend themselves beautifully to the winter season, which seems to drag on for a freaking eternity. This sweater has an oversized fit but isn’t too big that you feel like you’re a sack of potatoes. It features a round neckline, drop shoulder, long sleeves with elastic ribbed cuffs creating a bit of a balloon style, and has inverted seams throughout. This piece is available in one colour way and sizes S-L. I am wearing a size small.
Craving Corduroy Button Down

If you haven’t noticed I am on a real button down train here and I hope you’re okay with that because I’m not about to get off anytime soon. They are perfect for this time of year when you want to have something to cover your shoulders, especially in the morning when it’s breezy af. They also add that bit of interest and dimensions to any outfit. Throw it on over your jeans and white t and you’ve instantly went from regular mom to cool mom… and if you’re not a mom then you’ve elevated your look. You get it. It’s sweet, easy to wear, and comfortable. It comes in 2 colours (charcoal and cream) and in sizes S-L. This is definitely and oversized fit so if you don’t care for that look this isn’t for you OR you can size down. If you are like me and enjoy things on the bigger side, stick to your regular size. I am wearing a size small. 

Game Day Sweater

Calling all part time, only goes to football games for the drinks and social outing fans. This sweater is for you! This sweater is the perfect Rider and Rams green so you can feel good about wearing your “green is the colour” gear without actually wearing a sports jersey like every other fan in the house, because well, you’re not like other girlies. 

Of course, if you’re not a football fan or you have no idea who the Riders or Rams are, that’s okay too. Check plaid and green seem to be consuming my discover feed which is a cheat sheet for those of us who choose not to spend our spare moments researching fall fashion trends or reading the September issue of Vogue. This sweater is on the oversized side as well but more so in the length than the width. This sweater is available in one colour-way and comes in S-XL. I am wearing a size small. 

Oh My Midi

Dresses will forever and always be my favourite. They are so easy and can be worn so many different ways for so many different occasions. To work, a wedding, a shower, a BBQ, family photos, running errands… the list goes on. The Oh My Midi comes in three colours: Sage green, Oatmeal, and Black so you really will have one to wear for every occasion. This beauty features a smock sleeve with ruffle detail, v neck buttons that function for those breast feeding mama’s, a front self tie, and the best part POCKETS! Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?! I’m not sure when or why we all became infatuated with dresses that have pockets but here we are and by we, I mean me too, because I can’t get enough of the whole dress with pockets thing. This dress is available in sizes S-L. I am wearing size small which is roomie and meant to be that way. This is NOT a dress that is supposed to be fitted- it is a smock dress which means it does not hug your curves instead drapes beautifully off them. 

Pink Skies Cardi

The Pink Skies Cardi is the baby sister to the Cuddle Up Cardi we all know and love… in true Shop Teach form, I refuse to bring back previous styles. Instead I try to find similar, if not better, styles that I know you will love just as much. This cardigan is meant for my plus size girlies as it only comes in XL- 3X but can be truly be worn by anyone who loves it. I am wearing a XL in the photos and as you can see it still looks cute! The buttons are functional but I would suggest wearing her open for an easy breazy casual look. This sweater comes in one colour Pink Skies… yes, I am regretting not getting in another colour because SHE CUTE!
