I know it’s hard to think about boots when you look down and see your tanned little toes with that beautiful peddy you just got BUT trust me, as much as we dread it Fall, and even worse Winter, will eventually come. Four Booties Every Girl Needs In Their Closet

You may be wondering why I’m talking about booties after talking about starting to incorporate spring elements into my looks in my last post. Well, now is the perfect time to start thinking about next winter… I know, I know, we haven’t even made it through this winter! But seriously, everything is on sale… you’d be crazy not to take advantage of it! Buying out of season is an age old trick that is perfect for people on a budget or people who just like to be responsible with their money and get the best bang for their buck.

Because sale season is upon us, I thought it would be the perfect time to share what I think are four booties every girl needs in their closet! I have done some research and found a bunch of booties, in each of the categories below, that are ALL on sale!

1.) Dress Bootie: Perfect to pair with a pencil skirt, dress, or even leggings. I find booties are typically more comfortable than stilettos, and I much prefer the look in winter when you are often wearing tights! A great wedge or pump bootie are always a great addition to any winter look.

2.) Western Bootie: I just got a new pair and I forgot how versatile they can be! These booties are also just as awesome in spring, summer and fall, as they are in the winter. Pair them with a floral dress, denim cut offs, or anything plaid for an effortless cute look! Also, how can you go to a festival without western boots?! I am totally in love with this Sam Edelman Louie pair that I got from Cade Style Lounge… how cute is the fringe!?

3.) Black Bootie: Heel or no heel a black leather bootie is a must. I got an amazing pair from All Saints when I was in Vegas last month and I have been wearing them non stop. The black bootie is a classic that will never go out of style!

4.) Brown Suede Bootie: Is there anything better than a good neutral suede bootie? I think not! They can be worn casually with nearly anything but can also be dressed up with the right outfit.

I know it’s that time of year when we’re wanting to shop for spring pieces but save some money and take advantage of the amazing sales right now, you will thank me next October!

Fall Transitions

As much as I love summer… Fall has always been, and will continue to be my favorite season of all. There are lots of reasons for me to favorite the season of pumpkin spice but the most obvious is the start of the new school year. Often people ask me if I dread going back to school and I can honestly say I don’t. I love having my summers off- I believe they’re necessary to recharge and rejuvenate. I see the fall as a new beginning. How many jobs provide you with the opportunity to have a fresh start every single year? A new batch of buttons (children), new books, new day planner, new room set-up, and fresh new ideas… I honestly cannot think of another profession that allows you to have that luxury. A clean slate, a new start… best feeling ever!!

Anyways, more fall obsessions coming in a future post. Today I am talking about transitioning your closet from summer to fall. Now obviously most of your summer dresses need to be packed away for the longgggg winter months, but there are a few pieces that can be transitioned. I have chosen a few dresses to show you how I will transition them from summer to fall by adding just a few layers!
