On Thursday we filmed something that is so close to our hearts that we will share with everyone in the beginning of June. I hate to be annoying and leave out so many details but we aren’t allowed to share just yet.  It is such a special project that is close to our hearts and let me tell you we were EXHAUSTED after it, my goodness.  I am working on a few other fun campaigns that I am excited to share with you in the next few weeks as well so stay tuned for those! Our favourite place to go when we’ve had a busy week is my parents farm aka the farm. There is something so special about it, as soon as Lee and I pull in we feel we can instantly relax, we are so lucky to have such a special place only an hour away.  We went out there on Friday and came back yesterday because Lee is super busy with work. When we were packing up Dane made it quite clear he was not ready to come home so Gigi and Papa agreed to have him one more night… how are we at this age already!? We asked him repeatedly if he wanted to come home with us or stay and he without hesitation begged to stay. He is growing up sooo fast and speaking of growing up too fast, Dane got his first haircut! He almost made it to his third birthday before his first cut!  It was pretty uneventful because we just trimmed his bangs lol I couldn’t get rid of his baby curls just yet. His Auntie Marlo did it for him and he did so well! The smileson their faces say it all, what a special bonding experience for these two!

What I Cooked:

Like I mentioned, it was a busy week so I took advantage of a few meals I had frozen.  A few weeks ago I made this shepherd’s pie and doubled the filling then froze it so I would have it on hand for a quick meal another day.  Don’t you just love when you’re organized and do shit like this? Little pat on the back for moi! I pulled out the frozen filling and then topped it off with the instant potatoes that you buy at Costco. Listen, do we eat these all the time? No, but when in a pinch, they are great! I literally pulled out the filling in the am so it thawed through the day and then put it into a pan, took 3 minutes to make the potatoes and put it in the oven.  Homemade shepherd’s pie in less than 20 minutes. Try this hack and thank me later! I actually do this quite often, if you’re making the mess double the recipe and freeze for another day!

What I’m Loving:

Joe Fresh! I have said this before but I’m here to say it again! Joe Fresh is killing it this season. I have now placed TWO Joe Fresh orders and I am SO happy with everything I got. I can’t always say that… I go through phases with them. Sometimes I love their stuff and others I am just not into it. Here are a few things I ordered for myself and the kids and are loving!

So, let’s get into it! This week we started sleep training Halo and let me tell you it is life changing… I have so much more energy, I am motivated, and I just feel more like myself. Halo is also a much happier baby. I will be sharing more on this once we are done the 10 day program but for now know that it is truly changing our lives for the better. Speaking of Halo… she is now in her Jolly Jumper!! Where the hell is time going my lord!? How is my baby big enough to be in the jumper! She is getting more fun by the day.. her giggles are just my favourite thing ever! Speaking of favourite things ever, I have been struggling with Halo’s dry skin since the day she was born and I have FINALLY found something that works! Cerave Baby Cream… this is not sponsored at all this is just the only thing that I have used on her that works! 

Because I am getting more sleep I feel like I am having an easier time tackling normal daily tasks again, like cooking dinner! Here’s a few things I made this week! The salmon was good but I think I would add a bit of honey to balance out the saltiness. The greek orzo dish was delicious and super easy-  love me a one pot meal!

I am SO loving getting back into the fashion of it all. That is why TMS was started in the first place and it feels good to get back at it. Two pregnancies later style sure feels hard for me and so I am happy to bring you along the journey of me finding my personal style outside of leggings and sweats again. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of that still, just a little less and when I do put them on I want to STYLE them not just wear them. 

Last week it was my birthday and Lee bought me this new purse and I AM LOVING IT! It is the perfect transition bag. I am still in the diaper bag phase but at this point I don’t feel like I need massive backpack everywhere I go now. This sling bag fits SO much but is still small enough it doesn’t look like you have 2 diapers, a onesie, a booger sucker, 1 million welches fruit snacks, and a container of wipes in it… ya know?! This one is definitely a bit of a splurge so I have linked a few others that are similar but are a bit more affordable. I will say however, the size, style, quality, and functionality of this bag is 10/10 so if you’re looking to treat yourself this is a great option!

Classic Long Cardi
If you don’t have a cardigan in your wardrobe, you’re not living. Okay, clearly if you’re reading this you are, but seriously you NEED one! This is a classic long cardigan, hence the name. It is that cardigan that can sit on the back of your office chair so you can throw it on over literally anything. The neutral colour and length lend itself to pretty much any outfit… a dress, a blouse with jeans or dress pants, a skirt and blouse, I’m telling you it goes with everything. This maxi cardigan has pockets (we love that), thumb holes, and exposed seams.  Fits true to size. I am wearing size small.

The Sunday Set

Okay, I don’t mean to pick favorites but I LOVE this set for so many reasons. First, just look at it, it is just so cute, but in a sophisticated way. It’s like the elevated version of a sweat suit. You can wear the set together as shown here, (literal perfection for Christmas morning) or you can wear them separately (check out my Instagram page for inspo). These pants are meant to be slightly cropped but I am short (5’4”) so they are basically full length on me and I like that look as well.  It has functioning buttons (I see you breastfeeding mama’s), pockets, and a collar.  This set fits true to size and has a lot of stretch. The pants are more of a fitted style where the sweater is a bit more relaxed.  Holly is wearing size small.

Stormi Sweater

You know those days when you wake up, look outside only to see five feet of snow on the ground and you want nothing more than to crawl right back into bed or book a flight to Mexico but you’re forced to go to work to feed your family (or shopping addiction)? Well, this is the sweater you’re going to reach for. It is cozy AF, in fact, it feels like the hug you so desperately need to get your ass out the door to work. This sweater has a relaxed fit turtleneck, voluminous bubble sleeves, and an exposed center seam down the front. Throwing this sweater on will make it seem like you didn’t spend all morning wishing you could crawl back into bed. This sweater comes in two gorgeous colours: natural & chestnut.  Holly is wearing size small. *oversized fit. If you want it to fit true to size, size down. 

Etch Blouse

This blouse was so popular in the last drop that I decided to bring it back in another colour! The Etch blouse is exactly what everyone needs in their wardrobe. It is easy to style, like a t- shirt, but looks like a million bucks. This classic silhouette can be worn with jeans, nice heels, (or boots if you live in the arctic like I do) and some jewelry and you’re set. You can also wear it to the office paired with trousers  if you’re a corporate girly.  This blouse has a woven satin look, ¾ extended length sleeves, and v neck neckline! This blouse comes in a champagne colour which is perfect for the upcoming holiday season!  Holly is wearing size small. This blouse is a relaxed fit. If you’re between sizes I would size up as the fabric drapes beautifully.
