There’s nothing better than your favourite tee… right? Well, turns out there is. T-shirts that help with a cause, that’s what’s better my friends!

Enter UnderstandUs. Their mission is “to provide awareness and education to overcome mental health barriers in youth”. By leading mental health initiatives and awareness campaigns, engaging with youth through teachers and the education system, hosting community events, and selling apparel, they really are bringing much needed awareness to mental health. By purchasing any of their apparel you’re supporting these initiates as 100% of the proceeds go directly to raising awareness of mental health.

All that aside, the t-shirts are awesome! Check out all their styles here. My personal favourite is this Robin Williams one! I love adding great graphic tee’s to my collection as they are so versatile. I have been wearing this one non stop with my overalls and these denim cutoffs and lace vest, cute right?!

Denim Overalls

I have been on the hunt for a cute pair of overalls (shorts or full length jeans) since Jillian Harris posted about them last summer! Let me tell you, they aren’t as easy to find as I thought they would be. JH got hers from Topshop and although they are super cute, I just wasn’t crazy about spending nearly $100 after shipping. I mean, I know it’s denim and they’re super cute, but I consider this a fun trend and when it comes to fun trends I don’t like spending a lot.

There were a few things I had in mind as I was searching. I wanted a light(er) wash, a boyfriend(ish) fit, I didn’t want them to be too short, and I wanted to spend no more than $50! Well, coming in at $49.90, these just barely made the cut!

When it comes to styling overalls I feel like anything goes. Since purchasing these a week ago I have paired them with a graphic tee, a plaid shirt, a crop top, and this girly lace blouse! I am totally loving this trend… It totally takes me back to grade school, so fun!!

*FYI: If you do decided you want to order these overalls I suggest going up a size! I typically wear a small and I got the medium!

Summer Dress Lovin’

I don’t know about where you live but here in Saskatchewan, Canada it feels as if summer has officially arrived! With temperatures sky rocketing to above 30 degrees celcius it has had me reaching for my summer dresses and I am NOT complaining! I absolutely love the no fuss, grab and go easiness of putting on a dress in the summer, and let’s not forget about how comfortable they are. Ah, I hope I’m not dreaming and summer is actually here to stay… let’s all cross our fingers, k!?

I am totally swooning over this white slip dress from Black Swan clothing! The material is seriously so soft and comfortable and the lace details are so girly and elegant. Although it is not available to purchase online, this brand is carried at Queen V, a local boutique.
