We then had a gift exchange, (I got the Earls cookbook #yass) and loaded the party bus for some dancing, scream singing to Justin Bieber, and photo ops.  We ended the night doing some more dancing at Lot Club. The night was filled with LOL’s, dancing, a few cocktails, and delicious food… it was perfect! With every year that passes I am more and more grateful to have such an amazing group of women in my life! What better way to celebrate than a night out on the town!?

GNO’s are always super fun to dress for, it’s a night where anything goes! I’m not going to lie, I was pretty pumped about this little BCBG Max Azria dress I found at Marshalls a few days before.  I had planned on wearing an old dress and jazzing it up with some jewellry but when I found this gem I couldn’t leave it! The bling on the collar is perfect for the holiday season… so is the loose fit if you know what I mean

Last minute I decided to throw this gorgeous vest on for some warmth… Brrr! I needed it!

It’s been a minute since I posted a GNO inspired outfit! Perhaps it’s because I haven’t had girls night out in well, I can’t remember the last time… hmmm, I better get on that before the snow flies and hibernation mode sets in!

A LBD is always a good choice but why not switch it up next time with a little black romper!? A classic black romper or dress is always a fun blank canvas because it easily allows you to play with current trends.  For example this gorgeous BRAVE leather double buckle belt. I have been wearing it non stop with denims shorts and jeans but I love it paired with this romper for a little bit of a dressier look.

There are few things I enjoy more than spending time with my girlfriends, and when your bestie happens to be your sister, it doesn’t get much better.  A GNO can cure a awful day at work, a boyfriend/ husband who thinks there is a monster in the dishwasher, a bad hair day, or even the most horrendous breakup.  If  the above doesn’t apply to you, a night out can also serve as a reminder of how awesome your girlfriends are. 

One of my favourite GNO’s is Saskatchewan Fashion Week.  The combination of spring weather, fashion, and of course, the night out with my girlfriends, makes for a pretty epic weekend.  I started the tradition of giving my sister SFW tickets for her birthday a few years ago and now it’s something we look forward to every year.  My sister and I live in different cities so when she comes to town there is no shortage of giggles, vino, food, and shopping! It’s the perfect event to mark in your calendar each and every year because it never fails to disappoint.  Walking in, you instantly feel the creative energy and excitement.  It’s more than a fashion show showcasing local retailers and designers.  It’s an event where you can shop, dance, watch the show, and connect with creative people.
