Holy moly, what a friggin’ week. My apologies, I’m a day late with this post. If you haven’t caught on by now I try to post every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. I really have no rhyme or reason for the days I post besides Teacher Talk Tuesday. Thursday and Sunday just feel right and are nicely spaced out.

Anyways, yesterday was one of those days. UGH. I left school feeling defeated. My students were CRAAAZZYYY. It was like I literally hadn’t taught them a thing about how our classroom works- man alive! Anyways, we had a big talk this morning and our Friday went MUCH better. We laughed, learned, and even shared some Jelly Belly’s. The highs and lows of teaching are reallllllllll. Having a solid staff for support, outlets (Blogging & Barre) an amazing bf to vent to, and wine (obvi) are serious key factors in keeping me sane.

Okay, rant over. That intro really has nothing to do with this outfit but sometimes I like getting personal with y’all. It’s a little like therapy- I hope you don’t mind!

This dress has me dreaming of Spring which is (hopefully) just around the corner!! I absolutely adore the belle sleeves!!

OOTD Palm Print Bikini

I’m sure most of you have gathered from my social media, or previous blog post, that I am in Mexico! I have been totally relaxing (hence the inconsistency in posting on here) drinking mimosa’s for breakfast, loading on the sunscreen, bathing in aloe vera gel, and living in bikinis!

Speaking of bikini’s, how adorable is this scalloped edge, palm print/floral one from Target’s Vanilla Beach line?! I’m obsessed! I love a mixed print bikini for the simple fact that you can mix and match the tops and bottoms pulling out different colors… I burnt my chest the first full day in the sun (yes- I applied spf 50 and still got a bit of a burn… ouch!) so I’ve been trying to keep it covered. This top has been perfect for that. I’ve been mixing and matching these pieces non stop. I wore both black and coral bottoms with it and they looked great as they pulled out the colors from the floral print!

I am in love with the entire Vanilla Beach line from Target! The prints, styles, and colors are just adorable and you CANNOT go wrong with the price point- they are SO affordable! In a world where a top can easily run you over $100, it’s nice to have a more affordable option without compromising style!

Closet Remix || Edition 3

This floral skirt has recently celebrated its 8th birthday with me. Yes, I purchased this in the spring of 2008 and it is STILL one of my favorite skirts! I love the print, the fit, the pleats, the length, and the adorable bow detail. Now, one might think this was a big splurge and that’s why I have held onto it for so long… nope! I got it from Forever 21 and I can’t be sure, but I want to say it was under $30.00. Not only does this skirt remind me of my good old college days, it also serves as a daily reminder that quality pieces are not don’t always have a designer label with an expensive price tag. Finding pieces that you love and will continue to love for many years can really be found anywhere for any price!

I recently received this stunning two piece set from Uptown Casuals in Yorkton. I LOVE two pieces for the simple fact that you can mix and match them and really get your money’s worth! I love this set together but I had just as much fun mixing and matching these pieces! I have a feeling this two piece will make another appearance in the Closet Remix series… but for now, how adorable is this combo?!
