Back To School With Geox

Well… if you haven’t clued in from the constant reminders on all your social channels, teachers (well most) are back to school today. Some are dreading it, some are just whatever about it, and some, like myself are EXCITED! Which to most of you will be no surprise. I am not afraid to shout it from the rooftops… I LOVE MY JOB!!! I especially love it in September. A fresh start: clean classroom, new supplies, shiny floors, and a new class list full of little humans I can hardly wait to meet.

But, like anything that is “new”, it takes some adjustments. Waking up to an alarm, packing a lunch, holding your bladder until recess, and retraining your feet are all part of the whole getting back into a routine thing. Yes, retraining your feet is a legit thing. Going from flip flops and sneakers all summer to trotting around in heels on concrete floor takes a bit of time to get used to. Enter these adorable Geox slip ons! Tropical Print

Often when trends introduce themselves it takes me a while to warm up to them. For example, the come back of bell bottom jeans is something I have been trying to get into for over a year now and to be honest, I’m just not sure I ever will. I like it, but as far as loving it goes, I’m just not sure I can commit to that level.

The tropical trend print on the other hand, is one that has taken zero convincing. From day one I have been on board, perhaps it’s because it’s so similar to floral and ya’ll know I loveee my floral prints. This Chaser Brand tank is perfect to throw on in the summer without having to think which in my mind are the best kind!

What’s your favourite thing to just throw on when you’re too lazy to think of an outfit but still want to be cute!?

Hello Spring!

Happy first day of spring, guys! According to the calendar we have made it through the long, dreaded winter, although I have to say this was one of the nicest I can recall. With spring comes warm temperature and more time outdoors! One of my things is taking my little bear, Sunny for walks! He is so full of energy so when we mention going for a walk his ears instantly perk up and he is ready to go! We have been puppysitting this adorable little girl, Lilly, isn’t she a doll?! I want another puppy in the worst way but B says no… so having Lilly for a few weeks is super fun for me!

One of my favourite things about spring is saying goodbye to those bulky down filled parkas and heading outside in light jackets and sweatshirts. I have this 22Fresh sweatshirt in two colours and I basically live in them. The moment I get home from work I put on my leggings, slippers, and this sweater. You will also find me wearing this sweatshirt for an evening stroll to the park, and errands on the weekend- so basically all day er’day, it is just that comfortable!

Another one of my favourite ways to welcome spring is to fill our home with fresh flowers! What’s your favourite part about spring?!
