Peak Ice Cube Trays

Summer calls for drinks, drinks, and more drinks! Even though most of those refreshing little treats likely have some sort of alcohol in them, it’s never a bad thing to mix in a water here and there, haha! But after all those yummy summer patio drinks water can seem so boring… not anymore! How genius are these Peak ice cube trays I found while perusing the Bella Chic website?! The long rectangular shape of them allows them to fit perfectly in your water bottle. I LOVE my S’well bottles but the size of the opening is annoying as it is slightly too small to fit standard size ice cubes, seriously?!! These rectangular shaped ice cubes quickly solve that problem!

Of course, I took the opportunity to get a little creative and added some fruit to mine. This is a perfect way to use up any fruit that may be on the verge of being too ripe! Add them to your drink in the morning and as they melt throughout the day they add mega flavour to your water. Having people over? Some sparkling water and one of these in a fancy glass makes you look like a hosting goddess!

I usually make a bunch and then keep them in a ziploc in my freezer so they’re ready to go whenever I need them!

Here are some of my favourite combinations:

-raspberry & lemon
-blackberry & mint
-watermelon & jalapeno (remove seeds)
-lime & nectarine
-watermelon & basil
-raspberry & nectarine
-pineapple & raspberry

Ombre Beach Dress || Bella Chic

I’m sorry if you guys are sick of me posting about dresses but for real, I just can’t stop… I LIVE in dresses all summer long. It is rare that you will find me in shorts and don’t even get me started on jeans in the summer, I just CAN’T!

I recently opened the mail to find this little number from a local boutique, Bella Chic. I instantly noticed the ombre color and was intrigued, but when I turned the dress around and saw the back details I was in l.o.v.e! Such a pretty little number that will be perfect when we head to the wineries in Kelowna next month!

Bella Chic, another local boutique, was formed in 2006 in Regina, Saskatchewan to bring big-city fashion closer to home. They believe every women deserves to feel great and have fun in their own personal style… Preach! Over the years Bella Chic has proudly hosted the What Women Want show (remember I posted about this a few months back?! Such a fun event!) Through this event they’ve helped to raise over $80,000 in support of local women’s charities #babessupportingbabes

What Women Want 2017

Calling all YQR locals!! What Women Want, is back for it’s 9th annual event on March 17- 19th. I’m SO excited to be going for the first time… I actually cannot believe I’ve never been before!! Shopping, cosmetics, fitness, and entertainment… it has me written all over it!

In case you’re a newbie like me, here’s a little more about the event:

Who: You and all the babes in your life! The fitness enthusiast, fashionista, cook, or beauty guru in your life will leave feeling satisfied. This event showcases over 200 local retailers and pop up’s…there really is something for everyone!

Where: The Conexus Arts Centre- the ENTIRE thing! Did I mention there will be over 200 shops?! Of course they will need the whole space!

When: March 17 – 19, 2017

Time:
March 17th 5pm – 9pm
March 18th 11am – 9pm
March 19th 11am – 5pm

What: The three day event is one of Regina’s most looked forward to events for women of all ages! What Women Want is a premier shopping event in Regina, Saskatchewan showcasing the best in local businesses and entertainment (fashion shows, fitness presentations, and other talented performers).

How: Tickets are available on the What Women Want website —> here and at the door!
