So long Summer!

Well my friends, today is officially the last day of summer vacation for this gal! I’m feeling excited, a little sad, but mostly I cannot get over how time flies- seriously!! A quick blink and the summer has come and gone. Although it flew by in record time, there was no shortage of adventure! From the little things like finishing our backyard and planting a garden, to camping, and going on a roadtrip across B.C! We really did jam pack this summer trying to fill every day with some kind of adventure!

Speaking of adventure, you may have noticed this plaid sweater has been a summer staple for me. It may seem a little strange considering it’s so hot out but don’t be fooled, Sasky nights get chilly!! This plaid has saved me on many occasions: late night bike rides, campfires, and adventures in the mountains!

What I Wore: Sunday Edition

Sundays… you either like them or dread them. Personally, I love them! Any day that allows for sleeping in, snuggling with my boys, experimenting with recipes, and so on, is my cup of tea! I also love that if I do have to venture out of the house I have the freedom to wear whatever I want. Although my dress code at work is very lax I always feel better dressed up, so when it comes to the weekend I love a casual and cozy look… especially on Sunday!

This outfit is super comfortable but also has me feeling cute! Perfect for a quick trip to the grocery store, or coffee with a friend. The leggings from 22Fresh and this long sleeve from Free People are staples that I live in on the weekend!

This past summer I traveled to Vancouver to watch my Heather (my sister) run the Lululemon Seawheeze half marathon. A super last minute trip that turned out to be seriously awesome. A girls weekend in Vancouver, what’s not to love?! The highlight of the trip was definitely watching Heather and her friend cross the finish line- I must admit I felt a little left out. SO in the heat of the moment I made a verbal commitment to run with them next year. A few weeks later when registration opened she was sure to hold me to that commitment.

Fast forward three months and I am slowly (very slowly) getting into the training. The best part? The cute workout clothes, obviously. There is nothing that motivates me more than a new workout outfit… hello 22Fresh!
