Style Session: 1 Dress 5 Ways Holiday Edition

Okay you guys, be gentle…this is the FIRST YouTube video I have created in well over 2 years. There are a few reasons that I haven’t put out a new video but if I’m going to be honest, it’s because the video part of my blog was really all Brandon. For those who are new around here, he is my ex, ex (LOL) boyfriend. We dated for over 7 years and he helped me start Teach Me Style. I was obviously on camera, but he did all the editing which really is a big job. He is a professional videographer so as you saw he did an amazing job. I have wanted to put out more videos but my confidence is really lacking in this department…however, like anything you can’t get better if you don’t practice! This video is definitely not the same level of production as the previous videos on my channel but I think the content is just as good! And, I’m confident that each video I make will get better. I was actually surprised at how easy it was to put this together. Google is a beautiful thing!!!

In this video I have styled this Joe Fresh sequin dress five different ways. Unfortunately this dress is sold out online but I would definitely take a look at your local Superstore! I took some time to try and find a few dupes so if you were wanting to try to recreate any of these looks you could, but don’t be afraid to get creative a try these looks with any tee shirt shift style dress you have in your closet!

I hope this video leaves you feeling inspired to get creative with the pieces you have in your closet!

Coats, Coats, & More Coats

I’m sure you’re already aware but if not I’m here to confess I am fully addicted to coats. I swear I have an excuse though. Our winters here in Saskatchewan are unbearably cold and so if I have to spend a few extra bucks on coats and latte’s to get me through I’m going to do just that!

Although I buy coats often I rarely buy them at full price… go me! And speaking of, right now is PRIME time to purchase winter coats as tonnes of them are on sale and I’m not talking 15%, I’m talking 40% or more! I’ve done some research for you all and found some of my favourite coats that are ALL on sale!!!

*I’m sorry… the one I am wearing in the photos is unfortunately sold out!! I will continue to check in and if it comes back in stock I will be sure to let you guys know!

My Favourite Weekend OOTD

If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories, chances are you’ve seen me in this outfit MANYYYYY times, haha! The obsession is real and I’m fully aware, but I just can’t quit this cozy and comfortable look. Typically I like to dress up for work. I just feel better when I am dressed up- look good, feel good, am I right?

Now, when the weekend rolls around I am ready to jump into my comfortable/casual clothes. My go-to’s lately have been these jeans from Uptown Casuals (under $90!), my Patagonia vest (a definite splurge but oh SO worth it!), these Joe Fresh booties (under $50!) and one of my beanies! I love wearing a vest especially when I’m running errands… is there anything worse than wearing your huge parka in and out of the stores? One second you’re sweating the next you have hypothermia… the struggle is real!
