Oh myyyy the countdown is on… ten days until Rudolph takes flight, Mrs. Claus has the night all to herself, and the big guy plunges himself down our chimneys!

This year I haven’t done many gift guides for no particular reason really, I just wasn’t overly inspired to do one … heck I’ve barely started my own shopping, I’m just trying to get through these last few days with my students!

But, this is one post I am extremely excited and proud to share with you! Giving gifts is almost always better than receiving them, right? What if I told you that you could give a gift not only to the person receiving it but also to girls in India. Bloom & Give have made a commitment to break the societal barriers that prevent girls from going to school. 50% of their profits go directly to girls education programs in India. How amazing is that!

When I originally came across Bloom & Give I was first drawn to their gorgeous scarves but my attention quickly shifted to the positive impact they are making in this world. This company truly inspires me. The commitment they’ve made to educating girls in India is admirable. Education is obviously very close to my heart so teaming up with Bloom & Give for this post was such an honor!

A Feminine Touch

Maybe it’s Valentine’s Day, or the fact that spring is around the corner, but I’m really into incorporating feminine touches, and bits of color into my wardrobe lately. I love this scarf because it adds that little bit of color, but can still be considered a part of the neutral family. The feathers, beads and the knot, add a unique element to any outfit!

I wanted to add a feminine touch to this basic look. After riffling through my closet I finally decided on this soft pink scarf…I love the way it brings the light denim and dark jacket/sweater together and also adds a little bit of spring to this winter outfit.
