It was an outdoor event with 10 of my closest friends and family per seating on my friend Kyla’s front lawn. They enlisted the help of some of my favourite local businesses and like I said before, it was even more beautiful than I ever imagined it could be. It was intimate, beautiful, thoughtful. Absolutely perfect in every way. Leave it to Tia, you all know her as Lady Getz, Dawna, and Kyla to make a Covid event better than any event pre Covid.

Here are the local businesses they enlisted to make the shower a huge success!

Special Event Rental– You name it, they have it! I was first introduced to them when they helped my friend Tia with the decor for her event Passion + Purpose. They completely knocked it out of the park, they completely transformed the space and brought her vision to life and they did the exact same thing with my baby shower. They have everything you could imagine to transform any space or to bring your vision to life. Weddings, baby showers, wedding showers, events.  You name it, they can help! I highly suggest checking out their website and Instagram!

Balloon Bar YQR– I have been seeing these beautiful balloon arches all over Instagram and I am obsessed with them. So the fact that I had one at my shower was just the best! This work of art was the perfect backdrop and made for the most Instagramable photos which is obviously important to me! 12/10 recommend contacting Balloon Bar YQR for your next event!

Hillberg & Berk –  Thanks to Hillberg & Berk every one of my guests was spoiled with Adore Stud earrings! They’re so beautiful and make the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. They also spoiled me with a beautiful gold charm necklace that has my birthstone, Lee’s birthstone, and a charm that says Mama! They have since sent me Dane’s birthstone and a beautiful D to complete the necklace. It is so pretty but also holds so much sentiment. Thank you so much Hillberg & Berk for thoughtful gift and for making my guests feel as special as they are.

Sweet Street Cakes– I am not new to Angie and her gorgeous cakes, she makes my niece Isla’s birthday cakes every year and does an unreal job! Because of Covid the sweets all had to be individually wrapped and she did such a great job of making everything look cute even while being wrapped.  Of course, everything tasted unbelievable too!

Callia Flowers– If you have been around here for some time then you may be familiar with Callia! They deliver the most beautiful flowers to your doorstep. They are super affordable, last forever, and of course are beautiful! They deliver in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia and the Maritimes!

Caitlin Swyryda Photo– Last but not least my girl Caitlin! Caitlin has been my go to photographer for aa few years now. I call her anytime I have an exciting launch or a big partnership coming out and she is always so happy to help.  The girls asked her to be the photographer for the day so I could sit back and just enjoy the event. I love sharing with you all but it can be tricky to be present while creating content.  Thank you Caitlin for capturing the beauty of this party and letting me enjoy myself! Love you!

Last but not least the visionaries behind the event my beautiful friends. I cannot imagine my life without you in it. Tia, Kyla, and Dawna you are truly the best friends I could ever ask for. I am so lucky to have you by my side as I enter the crazy world of motherhood. Love you!!!

Having a great selection of countertops is obviously something you want but the EXPERIENCE and customer service is really what it comes down to for me. There customer service is second to none. CNG is locally owned and operated, in fact, Scott (the owner) has his office right in the showroom.  From the moment you walk in the whole team is there to take care of you.  Stone for your home is a massive purchase- it truly finishes off the space.  It is an investment and they know that. That’s why your satisfaction is so important to them.

LOOK at that beautiful sunshine… haha, it’s currently -50!! Anyways, as you can see from the photo they have SO many large slabs to look at. I encourage you to take a cabinet door with you that way you can see how they look together!

Luckily, CNG has both customer service and selection covered. They have an AMAZING selection of granite, quartz, and marble. In fact, I am going to go out on a limb and say they have the biggest selection in the city. Of course, they have a beautiful showroom with samples they allow you to take to your home (I suggest you do this to see the colouring against your tile, paint, etc) but what is REALLY impressive is the yard they have of full size slabs.  I believe this is what sets CNG apart from other stone companies. Trust me when I say it is SO important to see the stone in full size. This will allow you to see the veining in full size- it is crazy how different the look!

I was SO excited to see the stone installed for the first time. Once the stone is installed in your home it really starts to feel complete!

I am beyond thrilled with my choice in stone! As you can see it finishes both the bathroom and kitchen beautifully! I love that it looks crisp and clean with the majority of it being white but if you take a close look you can see the veins throughout!

If you haven’t heard of Jenny Joans (where have you been?! jk! haha) they are a local boutique out of Estevan! They’ve bene serving up the cutest woman’s wear since 1993! I’ve been partnering with them for years and so this collaboration feels natural and so exciting all at the same time!

When I started brainstorming what I wanted the collection to be like, I kept coming back to versatility. It is so important to me that you guys get as much wear out of these pieces as you possibly can.  You work hard for your money and I respect that!  I wanted them to be those pieces in your closet that you reach for everyday… hence the name: The Everyday Collection! The pieces are affordable, versatile, size inclusive, and FREAKING CUTE!!!!

The Everyday Cardi
A fun twist on a classic style! This cardi comes in two colours, is light weight, has balloon style sleeves and pockets! Wear this to work or dress it down for running your Saturday errands… either way, you’re sure to be cozy all while looking like a million bucks! This cardigan comes in rose and grey, and sizes S/M + M/L!
I wear a size s/m in this style. I am 5″4!

The Everyday Shortie
I recently returned to the classroom after a year hiatus and so teachers were my biggest inspiration while working on this collection. Every teacher knows the struggle of the room temperatures at school… the library is cold, your classroom is even colder, and the staff room temperature always seems be perfect. This cardi was curated with the intent to make your days just a little more comfortable, all while looking and feeling great! The Shortie comes in four colours: olive, blush rust, navy, and grey! It comes in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2X and 3X!
I have this cardigan in size small and XL, both are great! The grey is size XL and the other colours are size small, it really just depends on the style / fit you want!

The EveryWay Sweater!
Again, versatility was so important to me as I worked on this collection and this sweater is the definition of that! Wear this untucked showing off the slits on the side, tucked up into your bra to give it a cropped look, or simply tuck one side for that classic “I’m not trying but I look super cute” look, lol!
The EveryWay comes in three colours: blush, cream, and grey!  It comes in sizes S, M, L, and XL!
