Kimono Beach Cover Up

This kimono wasn’t originally on my list for Maui but I am SO glad I threw it in. I got SO much wear out of it, and it took up the tiniest amount of space in my suitcase!

As you can see in the photos above I wore this beauty as a beach cover up paired with a beach hat and some denim shorts- easy and effortless… that is after all what a beach vacay is all about, right?!

I also wore this while exploring on our last day in Paia, a cute little surfer town filled with cute boutiques and the most amazing pizza! If you head to Paia, make sure you’re hungry… you HAVE to stop by The Flatbread Company for one of their pies, they are unbelievably good, make sure you order the one with pesto, it was my favourite!

SO, I will make it a point to pack this again for my next hot vacation… to Mexico!

Weekends

For obvious reasons I love the weekends: Sleeping in, drinking way too much coffee, spending time with friends and family, shopping, staying up way too late, and the list goes on. Wearing whatever I feel like also makes the list. “Professional clothing” stays on the floor of my closet and short shorts come alive… well at least with the beautiful summer-like weather we have been having. These jorts (mom, this means jean shorts ) are my new fav. Every summer I like to find a pair that I can basically live in. These are them. I found them at Queen V Fashion House a couple months ago right before our trip to Mexico, and I LOVE them. The washed out black denim takes the basic jort and gives it a little edge.

If you do decide to purchase these make sure you order them a size down… what a way to make a girl feel good!

They stretch out a lot!!

The floral kimono is an easy way to add a flirty and feminine touch. Throw it on with jeans and a t or use it as a cover up at the beach. It’s a great summer / vacation piece that you obviously need. I got this one from Aldo a few months back and it was super cheap. As much as I love kimonos, they are a trend that I’m sure will be short lived so if you’re thinking about one I wouldn’t spend a lot… save your money for those investment pieces!
