If you’re an OG Teach Me Style reader, then you’ll be very familiar with Brooklyn Designs. I have been wearing their stuff for years now. I’m always drawn to their designs because they’re delicate and sophisticated but still have elements of fun that can easily spice up any outfit- casual or dressy these pieces are just so versatile!

As you all know I am currently travelling around Australia and will be heading to the San Fran, Banff, and L.A in the next few weeks. I vowed to travel light(ish) this trip because lets face it, I never wear half the clothes I pack and I love to shop! The same goes for jewelry. I decided to pack a tiny earring container of stuff and that’s it. In that tiny box I made sure to pack my Brooklyn Designs choker and ring. They have been perfect for accessorizing on this trip because they literally go with everything! The choker looks great by itself or layered, and the ring compliments the ring that my sister got me for my 30th birthday beautifully!

Fun fact, Brooklyn Designs pieces are often found on the bachelor & bachelorette contestants! Becca has been wearing it non stop this season and it makes me feel extra cool, haha!

Accessorizing with Stella & Dot

Don’t get me wrong I like florals, stripes, polka dots, and even some bright colours, especially in the spring, but I LOVE neutrals. I am so drawn to black, white, and heather grey. I couldn’t tell you how many grey sweaters I have in my closet, it’s honestly a little out of control!

Accessorizing with neutrals is my favourite because it’s easiest. I will admit, when it comes to the jewellery department I am not that confident. If you scroll through my IG feed and the photos on this blog, it is rare that you will find me in anything other than my typical choker or signature pendant necklace and a watch. I am typically drawn towards those dainty every day pieces because they’re easy, I don’t have to think about it, and I can sleep in them, LOL! I am a go go go kind of gal and so when it comes to bed time I AM TIRED… taking off layers of jewellery seems so hard! But every once in a while, there is a piece that stands out. This Stella & Dot tassel necklace is one that as soon as I saw it, I needed to have it! I knew that it would be the perfect way to spice up my neutral outfits! I absolutely love that it is adjustable so it can easily be worn with different necklines. Also, the tassel is like a fidget for adults, I legit can’t stop playing with it.

Andddd back to my love for neutrals… this bag though! It is the most PERFECT every day Spring/Summer bag. It’s not too big, not too small, and is that perfect light neutral to beautifully compliment any outfit. Genuine leather and just so happens to be majorly on sale… you’re welcome!!

From classic every day designs to bold statement pieces that are great for a night out with the girls this jewellery line really is as versatile as they come.

With the holiday season comes Christmas and New Years Eve parties where you’re forced to come up with something to wear. This holiday season try investing in some statement jewellery! Adding jewels to an existing outfit is a great way to get use out of those dresses you have spent way to much money on in previous years and have been collecting dust!
