Labour Day, eh? How in the sam h e double hockey sticks did that happen?! I know I say this every year but it’s actually starting to get crazy how fast time goes by. It feels like just last week I was sobbing as I packed up my teaching supplies and now my feed is filled with teachers setting up their rooms! SO WILD!

Anyways, the good news is Labour Day means a bunch of freaking awesome sales. I will keep this short and sweet because since reading the word sale I’m sure that’s all your focussing on.

Blazer Love?

It’s safe to say I have an on again off again relationship with blazers. Some seasons I can’t go longer than a few days without wearing one and then all of a sudden it’s as if they’ve said something mean about my dog and I drop them like a hot potato… don’t be talking about my dog.

This particular blazer is quite relaxed and casual and it’s been in my closet for quite some time now. It has made a few appearances while teaching, I believe it even made the cut for an interview once, but as of lately I have been pairing it with these cut offs and I must say I am feelin’ it. In fact, I can see myself carrying this look into the fall by switching the cut offs for some distressed denim.

Tell me your thoughts on blazers. Are you in a long term, committed relationship with them or an on again off again one like me?

One Dress | Three Looks

The only thing better than buying a new dress is realizing the potential it has.

Don’t get me wrong- I love buying those special “one night only” kinds of dresses…

You know, the ones that cost a lot, but because the occasion is so special, you reach for that extra credit card you have stashed in your wallet or frozen in an ice cube in the freezer. But what I love even more is buying a dress that I know I can wear the s**t out of. This denim shirt dress does just that. Dress it up for work or let your hair down and add a few accesories to take it out on the town with the girls. Want a casual weekend look? Throw on some chucks, a plaid shirt, a top knot and you’re set for whatever adventure is ahead. It’s comfortable, super cute, and is so versatile- a summer staple in my wardrobe!
