1.) She just gets you.  Seriously though.  There are few people that know you better than your sister does.  In my case, I feel like she knows me even better than I know myself, haha! She knows I’m a bear before having my morning coffee, that I need Netflix on in order to fall asleep (she does too… #sympatico ), that I don’t like to plan too much while on vacation, and that I am all about the food.

2.) You just get her.  Just like she knows me, I know Heather better than anyone else.  I can tell the second something is on her mind, if she’s excited, happy, annoyed, hungry or just tired. I know that she likes to have a plan, she likes a restaurant that has good cocktails, great views, and good vibes.  I know that she LOVES to shop even more than I do, that she likes to watch Netflix while she gets ready, and she likes to have a plan.

*travelling with someone you JUST GET is the best.

3.) When you fight it lasts like 30 seconds.  As much as we love each other we argue and get on each others nerves.  I feel like this is completely normal.  The best part is it’s over and forgotten about seconds later.  This often is not the case while travelling with a boyfriend or friends (unless they’re your bestie- but even still… something about a sister)

4.) They will do anything to make sure you have a good time. Heather is likely the most social, outgoing person I have ever met.  She hands down wins the prize!  She helped us meet some pretty amazing people on this trip.  I am envious of her outgoing and warm spirit.  She literally makes friends everywhere she goes.

5.) Is the best friend you could ever have.   Obviously I’ve always known she is my best friend but trips like this make me realize just how lucky I am to have her.  At one point on the flight I woke to her adjusting my blanket as it had fallen down from covering my shoulders and she didn’t want me to be cold… like come on!  Have you ever heard of anything more adorable?!

This trip was absolutely one of the best trips of my life. The bond between sisters is truly a beautiful thing. I shed many tears writing this post because I’m so sad it is over but I feel SO blessed to have the best sister in the world to travel with!
