What I Wore: Teacher Edition

With school back in session, I have had some requests to show some of my “teacher clothes” or what I wear to work.  Truthfully, I don’t shop specifically for teacher clothes, I typically just style things a little differently to make it work appropriate.  Like I mentioned in my previous post my school is pretty lax when it comes to the dress code,  your school may be a little different but here are some things to keep in mind when choosing your outfit.

My favorite pieces to teach in are things that are comfortable, layerable, and obviously cute.

Comfortable, because well you never know what your day is going to look like.  For example, today I was chasing two wasps around the classroom while the children shrieked with terror.

Layerable, (not a real word, I know… it should be) because if your school is anything like mine the temperature is super unpredictable. Also, you never know when you might have to sprint across the playground to stop someone from throwing rocks… For real, why do kids always want to throw rocks!? I just don’t get it!

Cute, well who doesn’t want to look cute in front of an audience (your class), especially a brutally honest one.

This white tunic I received from FIG clothing is one that I often reach for.  Not only does this tunic fit all my C.C.L (comfortable, cute, layerable) requirements, it also is 100% made in Canada- AWESOME! From tunics to cardigans this clothing line truly is a teachers dream blending comfort and style for a stylish yet practical look.
