September Must Haves

Eeeek!! My favorite month, September!!! The air turns crisp in the morning and evenings but is the perfect temperature during the day. The leaves turn all sorts of colors, back to school, layering, scarves, boots, pumpkin spice everything.  I mean honestly, September is the bomb.com

Okay… September must haves, you ready?!

Personalized Name Plate Necklace: You may have noticed on instagram a silver name plate with Holly (that’s me!) stamped on it.  I received this in the mail a few months ago from Y2quared and I have been wearing it on repeat lately.  I must admit, typically I am more of a gold girl but I have been having fun layering this with my other silver pieces.  Also, they’re pretty sweet and are giving you all a discount! Enter the code HOLLY10 at the checkout to receive 10% off… whoop whoop!

Blanket Scarves:  Truthfully, blanket scarves could make my monthly must haves for any month… I recently flew to Vancouver for a girls weekend with my sister and without hesitation I grabbed my Aritzia scarf as I knew it would save me from the frigid temps on the plane…seriously, why is it always sooooo cold on flights?!  Obviously the cooler weather makes me reach for my blankies more often.  They’re just so cozy and also look fabulous layered with an over sized sweater, ripped denim, and a cute leather.

Serenity Pants: Nothing against Lululemon but it is rare that you find me in them… well I guess I should say used to be rare.  For years I was a dancer, dance teacher, and cheerleader therefore I LIVED in lulu’s so once I decided to hang my slippers up for good, my love for yoga/workout pants fizzled.   However, when we were on our road trip last month we did some shopping in Banff and I decided to pop in to Lululemon just to check it out as I hadn’t been to one in forever.  Much to my surprise I found the most comfortable pants I have ever tried on in my entire life.  I am not lying.  The Lululemon Serenity pant has changed my life.   The second I get home from work I run upstairs and change into them.  The fabric,  Modal® French Terry, is super soft, but doesn’t pill, cozy, but not hot, and comfortable but also super cute… seriously heaven.  If you’re wondering, yes…I’m wearing them as I type this.

Sigma Dry n’ Shape: Back to school means back to a routine.  I have a confession… I have been terrible at cleaning my brushes and it is sooooo important!!!  Summer came and I got out of the habit of washing my brushes every second Sunday, not good.   It’s no surprise that cleaning your makeup brushes is a royal pain in the butt… the most annoying part is finding the appropriate time to do it.  I rarely leave the house without makeup soooooo when does one clean their brushes!?  This dry n’ shape from Sigma is friggin’ awesome- not only does it restore your brushes to their original shape, it also dries them within 4-6 hours… boom!  Don’t forget to use discount code TEACHME10 … xoxo

Anastasia Contour Palette:  Contouring can be scary if you’re not exactly sure what to do.  To be honest I still don’t feel like I have it down but this palette has definitely improved my game!  This kit might not be best for those who aren’t experienced in the make up department, but if you care to dabble and are looking for an all-in-one contour kit, this one is perfect.  The shades are very versatile, very ‘blendable’, and the best part is they are refillable!! Ps… I’m thinking about doing a contouring video using this palette, let me know in the comments below if you’re interested!

Black Bootie: Everyone needs that perfect pair of black booties to get you through the fall/winter seasons.  Each season I set out on a quest to find them… some years are better than others.  Last winter I found the most amazing pair, the Kenner by Sam Edelman.  So perfect in fact, I had a lady chase me down in Cosco to ask me where I got them… ya, it was a good day.  Dresses, skirts, jeans, leggings, these boots seriously go with everything and are comfortable to boot- haha get it?! – okay I’m tired.

Voluspa Candle: Candles are great.  Valuspa candles are the best.  They burn for hours, smell heavenly, and the jars are stunning.  I picked up this candle a few months ago and it still makes my heart flutter when I light it.  A little pricey for a candle I must say but totally worth every penny.  Splurge, you deserve it, babe!

Sigma Warm Neutrals Palette:  I love a good palette.  I like how they’re organized and basically tell me what to put where… let’s face it, the only decision I want to make in the morning is how many shots of espresso I’m gonna need before I tackle my day.   I am a neutral girl when it comes to my eye shadow so this palette really has been my go-to lately.  The colors are beautifully organized ranging from matte to shimmer with a few bold tones in between, perfect for fall!  Also, the fact that it is $39.00 (even cheaper with TEACHME10 discount code) is pretty fabulous too.

Well, that’s it beauties!
