Valentines Day Date Night

Is it me or does it literally feel like we just finished Christmas shopping?! Maybe that’s why I never seem to be in the mood for gifts when it comes to Valentine’s Day.  Don’t get me wrong I think it’s cute to exchange presents, but most of the time I am running around last minute trying to find that perfect gift that he really doesn’t need.  So, to save ourselves the stress of finding “the perfect gift” for each other we try to do something fun together.  Sometimes it’s something new, sometimes it’s not, but regardless it is something we have fun doing.

Brandon and I love food.  We love to cook, eat out, and entertain, so a cooking class was a no brainer for a fun exciting date night.  We took the Whole Chicken class at Schoolhaus Culinary Arts and it was ah-ma-zing! We went with our good friends, Mitch and Michelle.  This particular class focused on using the entire chicken, it was super fun and we learned soo much!  We made four different recipes, chicken thighs, wings, breast, and drumsticks… let me tell you it was a busy three hours!

Check out the video below to see our experience! Ps. It was such a treat to have Brandon in front of the camera for once… a special thank you to Andy Maragos for helping us film!

In case it’s too late to book a cooking class (Schoolhaus classes fill up sooo fast),  here are some other fun date night ideas:
– snowshoeing
– a hike and a picnic
– scavenger hunt
– find a new recipe and cook together
– tobogganing
– skating
– take dance lessons

How will you spend Valentine’s Day with the one you love? Do you have any other date night ideas to share!?
