Quick, Easy & Delicious Bruschetta

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

Well, I won’t keep you long I know you’re probably busy getting ready to head out and celebrate this beauty of a country we are so lucky to call home!  But, if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably forgotten that you have to take an appetizer to the BBQ you’re attending this evening (panic mode sets in).  Here is where I save the day… this easy and uber delicious bruschetta will have everyone asking for the recipe in which you will send them to www.teachmestyle.com for ALL the details 😉 … okay a shameless plug is okay every now and then isn’t it?!

Okay, here it is… it should take no more than 10 minutes!

Ingredients:

Fresh Basil (lots)
3- 4 Roma Tomatoes
Salt & Pepper
2-3 TBSP Balsamic Vinegar
2-3 TBSP Olive Oil
2 Cloves Fresh Garlic
1/2 Cup Feta
Loaf of Artisan Bread

Directions:

Chop tomatoes and garlic and put in a bowl.  Rub the basil leaves, this will release the oils in the leaves leaving your bruschetta very fragrant! Slice the basil leaves, toss into the mix.  Crumble feta (as much as you’d like) drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.  Gently toss all ingredients and finish with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Slice the bread, drizzle with olive oil and broil until golden brown.  Once out of the oven drizzle with a balsamic glaze – I have a Presidents Choice one and it is amazing!

Put bruschetta into a cute serving bowl garnish with a leaf of basil and there you have it!  A delicious, red and white, appetizer for your Canada Day BBQ!

If you are organized and have enough time you can use the pizza dough from my BBQ Chicken Pizza recipe!  I roll it out super thin, drizzle it with olive oil, sprinkle with chopped garlic, fresh parmesan,  and salt and pepper… ummm yes… it’s amazing!
